CLEAR LAKE – Two North Iowa men were arrested after a drunk driving stop in Clear Lake Saturday night.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy stopped a vehicle Saturday, June 10 at about 10:04 PM near 15297 Raney Drive in Clear Lake. After an investigation, two men were arrested. Robert Allen Stangel, age 58 of Ventura, was arrested on charges of second-offense operating while intoxicated and providing alcohol to a minor. Also arrested was Kyle William Stangel, age 28 of Forest City, on three arrest warrants out of Minnesota on drug and stolen vehicle charges. He was also slapped with new charges of illegal drug and paraphernalia possession as well as a felony of bringing a controlled substance to the jail.
Robert Allen Stangel was caught drunk driving in 2013, again by Clear Lake police. He paid over $2,600 in fines and court fees for that offense.
