NORTH ENGLISH, IOWA – An Iowa law enforcement officer shot a man dead this weekend while responding to a domestic disturbance.
On June 10, 2017 around 8:25 PM, officers with the Williamsburg, Iowa police department and the Iowa county sheriff’s office responded to a domestic disturbance involving a gun. The location was within the 100 block of South Walnut Street in North English, Iowa. The incident led to an officer involved shooting with a male subject who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Williamsburg Police Chief Ray Garringer and Iowa County Sheriff Robert Rotter have requested the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation to take control of the investigation.
