CHARLES CITY – Police in Charles City arrested a man they suspect of local burglaries who is also wanted in Kentucky on meth charges.
Jonathon Goodman, age 29, was arrested yesterday when the Charles City Police Department executed three search warrants. He was arrested on a Kentucky warrant for methamphetamine. He has now also been charged with three class D felonies: Possession of stolen property and 2 counts of 3rd degree burglary. He is also charged with criminal mischief in the 5th degree (a simple misdemeanor) and criminal mischief in the 4th degree (a serious misdemeanor). These charges stem from two burglaries committed within the last couple of weeks.
Goodman is being held in the Floyd County jail at this time, awaiting court appearances.
