RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – An Eastern Iowa woman with cocaine was racing through Cerro Gordo county this week and was caught by police.
Cerro Gordo deputies conducted a traffic stop on Thursday morning, June 1, at 1:07 AM at the 185 mile marker of southbound Interstate 35. The vehicle was driving faster than 20 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
As a result of the traffic stop and investigation, the driver, 42-year-old Johnny Lavonne Hargrove of Marion, Iowa, was arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, failure to affix tax stamp and speed.
Hargrove was taken to the Cerro Gordo county jail, where she remains held at this time on $10,000 bond. She now awaits a June 9 hearing.
