IOWA FALLS – A child was hurt and airlifted to a hospital after he was hit by a semi in Iowa Falls Wednesday.
The accident took place Wednesday, May 31 at about 3:15 PM at Oak and Pierce Streets in Iowa Falls. A 2013 Peterbuilt semi driven by 31-year-old Dougles Minteer of Eldora was driving south on Oak Street when a 6-year-old boy was struck
by the semi trailer near the rear tires; the child was later airlifted to
Blank Children’s Hospital. The name of the child is being with-held pending
the accident investigation.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by Iowa Falls police, Hardin county sheriffs, Iowa Falls fire department, and Hardin county e-squad.
This makes me wonder where the parents were, or who was watching this 6 year old.
