WATERLOO – A Nora Springs felon allegedly caused a drunk driving accident last year that left an elderly woman hurt, and now a trial has been set.
Andreas D. Frazier, age 33 with a last known residence of Nora Springs but may be living in Mason City, is accused by Waterloo police of drunk driving, serious injury by vehicle, and third-offense possession of marijuana after an auto accident on June 19. The Waterloo Courier reports that an elderly woman was left with serious injuries in the accident, and Frazier’s blood-alcohol level was .223.
After the accident, Frazier was taken to the Black Hawk county jail, where he was held on $8,000 bond. He soon then posted bond and was released. Frazier was finally arraigned on May 22, 2017 and entered a plea of not guilty. A final pre-trail conference is scheduled for July 14. A Jury trial, if necessary, is scheduled for July 18.
Frazier has been accused of numerous domestic violence crimes, felony burglary and more.
Frazier busted out a police car window in Nora Springs in May of 2016. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of first-degree harassment. He later entered a guilty plea to fourth-degree criminal mischief and one count of first-degree harassment along with a charge of driving while revoked. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 152 days suspended, along with one year of probation and $1,080.25 in fines, fees and restitution. He was given an addition 2 days in jail for diving while revoked.
