
FORT DODGE – Police in Fort Dodge are investigating the robbery of a coffee and fit shop Tuesday, but no arrests have been made.
On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, the Webster County Communications Center received a call at approximately 2:16 PM in regards to a robbery that had just occurred. The caller stated that an employee of Bloomers on Central, 900 Central Avenue, had just been assaulted. During the assault, items were stolen from the employee and the business.
Officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department arrived on scene and began the investigation. After speaking with the victim and witnesses in the area, the suspect was described as a black male with a thin build. The victim in this incident sustained minor injuries and was treated and released on scene.
The Fort Dodge Police Department’s Patrol and Criminal Investigations Division are continuing to investigate the incident.
