DES MOINES – On the heels of an announcement that led the Iowa Starting Line to proclaim, “I’ve been in Iowa politics for 14 years. I’ve never seen the kind of excitement that Nate Boulton got yesterday,” State Senator and Democratic candidate for Governor Nate Boulton Friday announced that 14 legislators are endorsing his campaign. The endorsements come from rural, small county legislators as well as legislators who represent urban districts in central and eastern Iowa. Two legislators, Sen. Pam Jochum and Sen. Joe Bolkcom, were a part of Boulton’s previously announced steering committee.
“I am honored to have the support of my colleagues who are leaders in their communities and important voices in our party,” said Boulton. “They’ve all seen the damage the Branstad-Reynolds administration is doing to working Iowans and I’ve been proud to stand with them in fighting back. I couldn’t be more honored that they’re now standing with me as I put forward a new vision for Iowa that improves the quality of life for all Iowans.”
