Open Letter to John Skipper from Peter Children

Good Morning John,
Today you are burning low octane fuel… your point of preference for one or the other is well known to everyone, it comes as standard equipment with each new birth…but it’s fueled in the home through the process of osmosis. It falls under the category of racism along with various other sub- titles.
If you want to cheer on all who adorn your family tree….go for it! But the Big Bang which lies within the final paragraph speaks of cynicism and therein lies the rub. As is my privilege I disagree, what you refer to as cynicism I categorically deny.
I preferred to call it by its rightful terminology which is self-defense. The population living here are in an actual war… a struggle to save itself from annihilation by an incompetent Mayor and a council who’s lackluster performance leads one to suspect encephalopathy. Don’t think this council doesn’t earn their pay; out of the six there are two who have no idea of where they are or what’s on the menu. Out of the remaining four… two have a grasp of the malfeasance that surrounds them. This show should be playing at the Community Theatre as a Dark Comedy.
Look closely at Bookmeyer, he has been emasculated by his own “Brutes” ; while it might not be the “Roman Form” it’s still on the steps of City Hall. Who says we can’t have a female in charge?
She has my vote…

Worth reading again if you want to know how bad it really is in Mason City. A credible state representative from another area of the state who doesn’t have a history of alleging cover-ups believes there is one happening in Mason City.

For shame that you imply that an elected officials position/seat is at anytime for sale ! They don’t allow this in county/state or the federal government and pink Easter bunnies are for real ! I doubt if you could find ANY form of government that has not been comprimized in some way shape or form — It’s the newie thing from liberals spreading from California. You know like politically correct corruption. We should thank our lucky stars and guarding angels everyday that the insane Clinton lost the election because we could have lost America as we remember it.

Gaawd what did the ass Skipper write now? I don’t spend money on the paper that supports this guy’s twisted words and thinking. But we all love to hate him and rightfully so. So we like to hear the weeks bullshit out of his brain. I still can’t get over his support of bookmeyer / council and their dastardly deeds. Gross human.

I admire what Bookmeyer has brought to the table. Honestly, Mason City is not a attractive place for businesses (shrinking & aging population, severe issues with poverty, low educated workforce). Despite these obstacles, he’s managed to bring employment prospects to the table (which were all subsequently turned away by Mason Cities coalition of curmudgeons). You can’t fault the guy for trying to improve this sad, bitter, dying town.
Name one. All I ever see are business closing.

Yep. Prestage certainly isn’t coming to Mason City and neither will any of the ancillary industries the plant would have created.
Exactly what type of employers do you folks really think would have a interest in Mason City? The town has a workforce which is totally out of alignment with the needs of the new economy and city council meetings are a circus act. I applaud Bookmaker for being able to bring some employment prospects to the table because I understand what a very unattractive place Mason City is for investment.
One of you people who are hiding behind trees and rocks has stated Bookmeyer has brought honesty….Are you crazy? This guy has had more illegal meeting behind closed door than the entire Nazi regime held during World War II.
