MASON CITY – A Mason City man was recently taken to jail for a domestic assault.
Mason City police were called to an apartment at 4 North Madison Avenue on the evening of April 23. Officers responded to reports of a physical domestic assault and arrived at about 7:24 PM. As a result of an investigation, 23-year-old Forbore Dedonell Johnson, who lives at that address, was arrested.
Johnson was taken to the county jail on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness. He was released the next day and was appointed a public defender asa judge placed a no-contact order. A hearing is scheduled for May 12.
