MASON CITY – Police arrested a Mason City man on a sexual assault charge.
A complaint against a Mason City man was filed with police, who then took it to a judge on March 30. This was in connection to an alleged crime that took place January 29, 2017. The investigation brought a charge of felony third-degree sexual abuse against 19-year-old Joseph Dele’on Starry.
A nationwide warrant for Starry’s arrest was issued by a judge March 30, and Mason City police caught up with him at his home on the evening of April 3. He was arrested and taken to the county jail. He was appointed a public defender and released from jail, pending a hearing set for April 21.
