MASON CITY – National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is being observed this week in Mason City by an agency that is ready to serve those in need.
Every year, millions of Americans are affected by crime. Many will need ongoing care and resources. April 2-8 is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, a time to celebrate progress achieved, raise awareness of victims’ rights and services, and stand with our families, neighbors, friends, and colleagues whose lives have been forever altered by crime. Crisis Intervention Service received Community Awareness Project funding for 2017 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week April 2-8. The project will raise public awareness about crime victims’ rights and services available in the community. Crisis Intervention Service will distribute bookmarks, pens, posters, stickers, and victims’ rights cards.
