Woman who helped rob Northside Liquor sent to jail for a month

MASON CITY – A Mason City woman who served tim in prison for helping rob Northside Liquor is back in jail.

Alexandra Elliff, age 25 of Mason City (or possibly Cedar Rapids), is now in the Cerro Gordo county jail after she was transported from the Johnson county jail in Iowa City. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail for neglecting to pay her child support.

Back in 2009, Elliff helped Jordan Michael Foy – formerly of Fort Dodge but now in prison – rob the Northside Liquor store in Mason City. He was sent to prison even though he was 17 when he committed the robbery; he was awarded a re-sentencing hearing by the Iowa Court of Appeals. That hearing was held on December 9, 2014 in Mason City. The remainder of the jail sentence was suspended and he was released from custody.

Elliff was also sent to prison for helping Foy rob the store. She was eventually sent to prison in 2012 for violating her probation on the charge of felony 1st degree theft; she was paroled on October 31, 2012, records show. Her parole was revoked again in 2013 and then paroled again in April of 2014. She has claimed to work at various bars since then.

Elliff still owes $1,571.01 to Iowa courts in connection to the robbery case.
