North Iowa couple arrested after crime spree from Rockwell to Northwood

RURAL MANLY, IOWA – A Mason City man and Belmond woman are behind bars after committing crimes from Rockwell to Worth county.

On Saturday, February 11, 2017 at about 9:47 AM, the Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at 5596 Raven Avenue SE of Rockwell. At about 10:40 AM, the Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious vehicle at 15341 340th Street in Manly. Upon investigation, the stolen vehicle from Rockwell was recovered at the Manly address. It was also discovered that the Manly residence had been broken into and another vehicle had been stolen.

The stolen vehicle was sent to area agencies and Worth County located the vehicle at Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood. The Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Worth County Sheriffs Office arrested 39 year old Jeremy Noah of Mason City and 26 year old Leah Stout of Belmond at the Casino.

Noah and Stout are currently being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on two counts of 2nd Degree Theft and One count of Burglary in the 3rd Degree, all Class D Felonies. Noah is also being held on a warrant from Wright County for nonpayment of child support.

These crimes are still under investigation and anyone with additional information should contact the Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Worth County Sheriff’s Office.
