CHARLES CITY – A young Iowa man accused of a felony after an infant suffered injuries in Charles City says he’s not guilty and will stand trial.
Nathan Jacobson, age 18 of Boone, Iowa, was in Charles City this fall caring for an infant just 2-months of age when the child suffered head injuries that may have been intentionally inflicted. As a result of the incident and an investigation, Jacobson was charged by Charles City police with felony child endangerment causing serious injury for the alleged October 17, 2016 crime.
Jacobson has posted a bond and has been released from the Floyd county jail. He is now scheduled for a February 28 jury trial and a February 13 pre-trial conference.

He’s a good guy, I think he just had bad home training. Where were his parents, his guardians?
Don’t jump to conclusions about what happened here.
His parents didn’t drop or slap the child he did. He is old enough to know the difference. Don’t make excuses for his bad behavior.
