MASON CITY – A man who now claims to live in Mason City was accused of several crimes after an incident this summer in Nora Springs and awaits sentencing.

Andreas D. Frazier, age 32 and formerly of Nora Springs but now claiming via social media to live in Mason City, allegedly committed crimes in Nora Springs on May 21, 2016. Sources tell NIT that he busted out a police car window in Nora Springs. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of first-degree harassment. He was appointed a public defender and pled not-guilty.

However, he changed his tune on November 15 and entered a guilty plea to undisclosed charges. He now awaits a January 20 sentencing hearing in Floyd county district court.

Also at this time, Frazier remains accused by Waterloo police of drunk driving, serious injury by vehicle, and third-offense possession of marijuana after an auto accident on June 19. The Waterloo Courier reported that an elderly woman was left with serious injuries in the accident. After the accident, Frazier was taken to the Black Hawk county jail, where he was held on $8,000 bond. He soon then posted bond and was released. In July, he waived his right to a speedy indictment and no new court dates have been set in the case.

Frazier has been accused of numerous domestic violence crimes, felony burglary and more. He was guilty in Black Hawk county of felony C second-degree burglary back in 2003 and after a number of probation violations was finally sent to a state prison.  The state is still collecting unpaid funds from him in connection to this case.

A career criminal, and he just had to migrate north. I’m sure that black hawk county is glad to get rid of him.
