Sledge will run sprints for the Lady Trojans starting in the 2018 indoor track and field season.
“It’s close to home,” Sledge said. “Coach (Curtis Vais) talked to me a lot and is really, really nice. They have a great program.”
Before arriving at NIACC, Sledge said she has a goal of running in four events at the state high school track and field meet in the spring of 2017.
“I’d like to qualify in two individual events and two relays, hopefully,” Sledge said.
