K9 cop finds woman’s body in Hardin county

IOWA FALLS – A missing woman’s body from Minnesota was found Wednesday with the help of a K9 cop.

On November 30, 2016, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was investigating a suspicious vehicle on County Highway D-41. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the registered owner of the vehicle was missing out of Minnesota. K9 Ogon was able to track from the vehicle approximately 200 yards north in to a wooded area where the body of a white female was located.

The Iowa Falls Times-Citizen reports that the identity of the female as 45-year-old Elizabeth D. Bell of Anoka, Minn.

An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death. The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol and Hardin County Emergency Squad.
