Fire destroys combine in bean field near Sheffield

fireSHEFFIELD, IOWA – A combine caught fire in a bean field near Sheffield, but the operator escaped injury.

On the evening of October 10, 2016 around 7:00 PM, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Office responded to a combine fire in a bean field just east of 20625 110th Street Sheffied, Iowa. The 2004 John Deere 9400 combine is owned by Gregory and Marilee Jones of Sheffield, Iowa and was being driven by their farm hand Terrell Juhl 72, of Hansell, Iowa while combining beans. The combine was a total loss as a result of the fire and the Dougherty Fire Department responded and extinguished the blaze.

Juhl was not injured at the time of the fire.

    Oh well maybe he will sell his half million dollar motor home and use some tax payer subside money to by a new self driving combine.
