Drunk driver flees cops and runs home, where officers make arrest

MASON CITY – A Mason City man was pursued by a police after he was observed allegedly drunk driving, and then ran to his house, where cops nabbed him.

The incident took place on the morning of Sunday, August 7, 2016 at about 5:45 AM. A Mason City police attempted a stop a vehicle driving carelessly near the intersection of 4th Street and South President. The driver did not immediately stop the vehicle and lead the officer on a pursuit southbound on South Federal Avenue. The vehicle eventually stopped in the backyard of a residence located in the 000 block of 23rd Street S.W. The driver then attempted to flee on foot into a house at that location. The house was later determined to be the residence of the driver.

The driver, Jorge A. Sanchez Jr., age 25, was taken into custody by the pursuing officer as well as a Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Deputy. Sanchez Jr. was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail and held on a $5,000.00 bond on the following offenses:

Careless driving
Eluding a law enforcement vehicle, a Class D-Felony
Failure to obey a traffic control device
Driving while license suspended
Operating while under the influence
Violation of new title registration
Improper use of registration
Failure to prove security against liability
Interference with official acts

Check his immigration status ??? OH NO! that would be politically incorrect/racist/and and and and.

No need to check it. He’s from the US, half Hispanic half white. Doesn’t change the fact that he’s a woman beating alcoholic though.

And the fact that he’s always drunk and never has his son even though it’s his week to have him
