MASON CITY – A benefit is planned for a Mason City man facing cancer treatment.

The River City Radio Control Club (RCRC) will be having a benefit for member Dennis Johnson, on July 23rd at the RCRC flying field at the east end of the race track at the North Iowa Events Center. Dennis owned and operated American Auto Body in Mason City for many years and was a huge supporter of RCRC. He was diagnosed with cancer recently.

Supporters would like to raise some money for Dennis to put towards his medical bills and supplies. Several members of the Club built a wheel chair ramp for Dennis, so he will be able to come home between treatments.

Date: July 23rd, 2016
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: River City RC Club Flying Field North Iowa Fairgrounds

Don’t know him but God bless him and his family. I pray that he beats this cancer and that he is able to raise a ton of money to help him. God bless you Dennis and your family.

Dennis is like a brother to us and a great guy, is there a way to donate as we live quite a distance and probably won’t be able to attend! We think it’s.great that you are doing this for him! Thank you!

Dennis did one heck of a paint job on my 72 Dodge Dart Swinger back in 1991 one heck of an auto-body man my heart goes out to you Dennis always been a kind man I will sure try to make it down to Minneapolis for that event

We lived close to him for many years, and he is a class act in every way. Good neighbor, good friend.

i met Dennis back in 1965 and he is one hell of a man as well as a body man, hope a lot of people show up for this as he well deserves it
