A female victim, age 25, of Grundy Center, Iowa, (identity known by this officer) S.M. filed for a protective order and provided law enforcement information during an investigation of several incidents that occurred between October 2015 and December 2015. The victim, S.M. reported the defendant did not accept the end of their relationship and told her it was not going to end. S.M. told the defendant not to come to her house. During the early morning hours of October 23rd 2015 the defendant arrived at her residence while dressed in his Eldora Police uniform and while on-call to the Police Department. The defendant pulled S.M. from her bed by her arm and into the living room. During his assault on S.M. the defendant removed his duty belt which included his firearm. The defendant was interrupted when he received a police call to which he responded. On November 28th, 2015, S.M. got off work at 7:00 A.M. and found the defendant waiting for her; he yelled at her in her employer’s parking lot. S.M. met the defendant at a different location where the defendant threatened to assault her, assaulted her, and then followed her home. On December 6th, 2015, the defendant showed up at S.M’s residence on two occasions and assaulted her physically and sexually. When S.M. told the defendant that she called the police after the first assault, the defendant made threats of having a shootout with local police. When law enforcement stopped at S.M.’s residence, S.M. told law enforcement she and the defendant had worked things out. On December 8th 2015, the defendant showed up at S.M.’s employer and started calling her names, telling her that she was worthless and that he was not going to leave her alone. On the evening of December 10th, 2015 law enforcement checked on S.M. after a witness reported the defendant was in a verbal argument in front of a store on Main Street in Grundy Center, Iowa, later in the afternoon. On December 11th, 2015 the defendant sent texts and called S.M. multiple times during her shift and the defendant intercepted her at the fuel depot and continued the verbal assault. During the evening of December 11th, 2015, the defendant was at S.M’s residence and he told S.M. they were not done and it was not her choice. The defendant threatened S.M. and assaulted her during the evening of December 11th, 2015 at her residence. The defendant remained at S.M.’s residence until he left to report for his law enforcement shift at the Eldora Police that night. On Sunday, December 13th, 2015, S.M. did not answer phone calls or text message from the defendant. The defendant had a law enforcement co-worker speak with S.M. and told S.M. that he needed to speak with her on a work related matter. On December 13th, 2015, at the beginning of her shift S.M. parked her car; the defendant pulled up beside her in his uniform and driving the Eldora Police squad car. S.M. was one hour late for work as the defendant restrained her from entering her work place as he made threats and became physical with her; she ended up agreeing to his demands to not end the relationship so she could get inside to work. The defendant continued to make phone calls to her and send text messages during her work shift and after her work shift was over. S.M. did not leave work right away at the end of her shift during the early morning hours of December 14th, 2015. S.M. and a co-worker observed the defendant’s vehicle, on building surveillance camera system, driving past the building and the defendant walking up to the building attempting to look through windows over an hour after S.M.’s shift was over. On the morning of December 14th, 2015, S.M. feared leaving the building after observing the defendant’s behavior. When S.M. finally left work the defendant followed S.M. in his vehicle, attempted to run S.M. off the road and stop her with his vehicle. S.M. was able to get away from the defendant but he followed S.M. to Grundy Center, Grundy County, Iowa, while calling S.M.’s phone repeatedly. S.M. was able to contact a co-worker to notify law enforcement the defendant was following her. S.M. arrived in Grundy Center and stopped her car at Casey’s for her safety as she would be in a public place around people. The defendant approached S.M.’s car dressed in his law enforcement uniform with his duty belt on. S.M. told the defendant that law enforcement was currently looking for both of their vehicles and the defendant responded that she was dead. The defendant then left in his vehicle. On February 10th 2016 the defendant admitted during an interview with law enforcement that he always carries his firearm when in uniform and he was always in uniform when he went over to S.M’s house.

Damn the guy sounds like a insecure prick who can’t get anyone to like him and the only way to get what he wants is to stalk and scare the hell out of woman and force them to do stuff that they don’t want to do. That’s messed up. I hope he gets what he deserves in prison. Guys like that give cops a bad name too. He just looks like a creep!

go back and read it again, she was just as at fault, kept leading him on. If she really wanted to end it she could have.

You are so wrong. He threatened to kill her if she ended it. She was terrified to report him because she knew the cops would never believe her and would take his side. Women feel absolutely powerless against cops who abuse them. A cop sexual abuser is the most dangerous kind.

This guy is no cop! He is a rapist. Loser!

My god, this poor woman’s been through hell and back with this creep!!

Scary as hell.
