Mason City man faces new theft charge, in addition to felony

MASON CITY – A Mason City man accused of stealing from local retailers is facing serious charges – including a felony.

Mitch Buesing, age 26, was investigated twice by Mason City police for theft from Mills Fleet Farm and Walmart.

According to Mason City police, on November 26 at 6:36 PM, a shoplifter was reported at Fleet Farm. MCPD officers arrived and waited outside for the subject to leave the store. Employees followed the subject outside and were met by the officers. The subject, Buesing, was charged with 5th Degree Theft and Removal of Theft Detection Device. Buesing is now represented by local attorney John Lander and has a trial date set for July 26, 2016.

On August 12, 2015, a Walmart employee reported the theft of $1,200 of electronic merchandise (headphones, Ipads) that occurred a few days prior, on August 3. MCPD officers attempted to contact the suspect – again, Buesing – but were unable to make direct contact. The investigating officer then applied for an arrest warrant for Mitch Buesing charging him with 2nd Degree Theft. Court records show Buesing has entered a not guilty plea in this case and is again represented by John Lander. He awaits a February 23 jury trial.

Additionally, Mason City police have now brought a new charge of fourth-degree theft against Buesing for an alleged theft incident on August 11, 2015. He will face a jury trial on April 19, represented by John Lander.

The only one who wins here is John Lander.

Loser

I’m guessing if he has 3 rather large current cases for theft, the judge and attorney will accept a plea deals giving him a slap on the hand, and a suspended fine.

Who the hell is dumb enough to steal from walmart and fleet farm. Unlike this guy, they have jobs to catch idiots like this!

What a little Mitch.

Seriously high five!
