MASON CITY – A Charles City man who recently faced domestic abuse and public intox charges refused to leave a Mason City apartment early Saturday and police were called to evict him.
Mason City police responded to the apartment house at 115 North Monroe Saturday morning at 2:39 AM. Police were told a man was there, passed out and wouldn’t leave. Upon arrival, police discovered Dean Larry Naeve of Charles City and he was placed under arrest on an undisclosed charge. He was later released from jail.
Naeve recently pleaded guilty to second-offense public intoxication, domestic abuse assault and violating the no-contact order in that case twice. He was put on a year of probation and sent to jail for three weeks.
