Disc golfers raise hundreds for food bank

MASON CITY – The First Annual Ice Bowl disc golfing event raised hundreds of dollars and lots of food, all presented as a donation to our local food bank.

The event was held Saturday, January 30 at East Park in Mason City.  A total of 12 holes were played, over two rounds, by disc golf enthusiasts.

Tee off was scheduled for 10am.  Registration fees collected included money and cans of food, all donated  to the Hawkeye  Harvest Food Bank.

A total of $1,277 and 234 lbs. of food was given to the food bank.
