CHARLES CITY – Police arrested a wanted Charles City woman once again, this time for violating a no-contact order and driving while suspended.
On January 22 at about 5:39 PM, police stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of Main Street. After an investigation, the driver, 26-year-old Brienna Kerlin was arrested on an arrest warrant and for driving while suspended.
Kerlin was recently placed on probation for a guilty plea in a child endangerment case as well as a guilty plea in theft case, both out of Floyd county. In addition, she is accused of domestic abuse assault in connection to a December 16 incident in Charles City. She violated the protection order on January 11 and was sent to jail, which could be a violation of her probation.
Kerlin has been charged by Mason City police with fifth-degree theft after an alleged incident on December 26, 2015. She has pleaded not guilty and awaits a trial on February 25.
