Disturbance leads to arrest of Rockwell man

ROCKWELL, IOWA – A Rockwell man was jailed after law enforcement was called to an apartment there.

A theft and disturbance was reported to police on January 12 at about 10 PM in Rockwell, and Chief Richard Whitney and a Cerro Gordo deputy responded to 503 3rd Street South, apartment 1. After an investigation, a man who lives in a nearby apartment was arrested.

Johnny Lee Williams, age 57, was charged with public intoxication and fifth-degree theft. Williams was taken to the county jail where he remains held on bond.
