CHARLES CITY – Police in Charles City reported an armed robbery this week.
On December 27 at about 6:45 AM, officers with the Charles City police department responded to the 1200 block of E Street to investigate an assault. After an investigation, police determined an armed robbery had taken place and a suspect had fled the scene. The victim had to seek medical attention.
Police say the incident is under investigation. They say the suspect is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall or slightly taller, with a slender build. Anyone with information in the case should call the Charles City police department.
