RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Thornton man was jailed early Wednesday for driving his vehicle with a revoked license as he awaits trial in two drunk driving cases.
A Cerro Gordo deputy arrested 62-year-old Gregory Eugene Kolb of Thornton at his home after 2 AM Wednesday morning. Kolb has a revoked driver’s license as he is awaiting court dates on two drunk driving arrests this year. The deputy also gave Kolb a warning for speeding.
Last month, a Cerro Gordo deputy conducted a traffic stop of Kolb near Grouse Avenue and 180th Street on Saturday, June 19 at about 10:14 PM. Kolb was allegedly speeding. During the traffic stop and investigation, the deputy determined that Kolb was intoxicated, and placed Kolb under arrest on a charge of operating while under the influence. He awaits a hearing on July 10 in this case.
Kolb was earlier stopped by Clear Lake police on March 8, 2015, and charged with first offense operating while under the influence. He entered a not guilty plea on May 4 and is set for a jury trial on July 21.
