
Becker, an infielder from Fairmont, Minn., is the second member of NIACC’s freshman class to commit to an NCAA Division I school. Shortstop Robbie Glendinning will play next season at Kansas State, a member of the Big 12 Conference.
Becker, who was a first-team all-NJCAA Region XI selection, hit .364 with 17 doubles (tied for 7th on school’s single-season list), 12 home runs (tied for 3rd on single-season list), 63 RBIs (tied for 7th on single-season list) and scored 62 runs (7th on single-season list) to help lead the Trojans to the NJCAA Division II World Series.
Becker collected 79 hits during his freshman season, which is tied for fourth on NIACC’s all-time single-season list.
Kentucky was 30-25 overall and 14-15 in the Southeastern Conference during the 2015 season.
