Mason City police may get some upgrades if purchases approved by city council

MASON CITY – The Mason City council may approve some upgrades for the police department tonight.

City administrator Brent Trout is recommending approval of the purchase of 4 In-Car Computer Systems from Law Enforcement Technology Group (LETG) of Plymouth, MN for the Police Department.  Cost is $20,378.

Trout is also recommending approval of the purchase of 4 in-car video recording systems from L3 Communications of Boonton, NJ for the Police Department.  Cost is $23,792.

Additionally, Trout is recommending approval of the purchase of three Ford Interceptor Sedans from Mason City Ford and one Chevy Tahoe from Schukei Chevrolet of Mason City for the Police Department.  Cost is $111,056.
