CHARLES CITY – A small plane crashed east of Charles City Tuesday.
According to information relayed to NIT, Charles City police and Floyd county deputies and other emergency responders were at the scene, near the Northeast Iowa Regional Airport. The “jaws of life” were used to extract at least one person. The small plane had crashed in a ditch, a source said.
There was no word on the extent of the injuries to the pilot and potentially one other person on board.
