MASON CITY – A Mason City couple was nabbed by cops at their rental house on drug charges.
On May 28, while conducting a series of arrests for persons wanted on drug warrants, officers with the North Iowa Drug Task Force went to 402 21st Street SE (owned by Margaret and Norman Hastings) in search of two individual and located Robert Walter Benedict, age 50, and Kristine Benedict, age 66.
Both subjects were arrested on valid Cerro Gordo county warrants (2 counts of marijuana possession for Walter Benedict and two counts of possession of marijuana, two counts of delivery of marijuana, and two counts of delivery of hydrocodone for Kristine Benedict) and transported to the Cerro Gordo county jail.
