CLAY COUNTY, IOWA – Two Iowa youths were found Thursday after a brief search and amber alert was issued.
On Thursday, at approximately 1:55 PM, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office received authorization to enact an amber alert for two missing and believed endangered juveniles from Everly, Iowa.
Fourteen local and state agencies collaborated to gather information as quickly as possible, leading to the location of the juveniles – Bayli Rian Jordan, age 12, and Jamie Patrick Panko, age 16 – unharmed in Cherokee County at approximately 3:20 PM.
This investigation is continuing and criminal charges are pending upon completion. Both juveniles are currently being held for their safety.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office wishes to express their gratitude for the public’s support in providing information vital to the operation.
