MASON CITY – A woman who has been caught stealing in Mason City was arrested here Wednesday as she drove through town.
A Cerro Gordo deputy conducted a traffic stop Wednesday evening, April 15 at about 6:26 PM at 4th Street SE and Rhode Island Avenue.
During the traffic stop, the deputy determined that the driver, 25-year-old Katie Jo Lewis of Des Moines – who has previously been caught stealing here in Mason City at the Target retail store – was operating the vehicle with a suspended and revoked driver’s license and had no insurance.
The deputy cuffed Lewis after she hugged a young child goodbye and took her to the county jail for processing.
