MASON CITY – A North Iowa woman was hospitalized after she lost control and her car rolled over Wednesday morning.
Bonita Weatherspoon, age 19 of Staceyville, was southbound before noon on Thrush Avenue just north of 290th Street when her 1997 Dodge Stratus entered the west edge of the shoulder of the road and she lost control, over-corrected, and the car rolled into the east ditch. Weatherspoon was discovere inside the car, unconscious and breathing with undisclosed injuries. Multiple emergency responders were sent to the scene.
Weatherspoon was taken to Mercy Hospital in Mason City for evaluation. Her condition was not immediately available.
