MASON CITY – A Mason City man convicted last year of dealing marijuana and was given probation turned himself in this week on an arrest warrant.
Leon Lyndell Kershaw, age 36, reported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail Thursday evening. He had been wanted on an arrest warrant since March 25 when county prosecutors applied to have his probation revoked in connection to his guilty plea to dealing marijuana. He was charged in 2013 by Clear Lake police with felony D controlled substance violation as he was caught dealing marijuana, a controlled substance. He pleaded guilty in 2014 and was given a suspended 5-year prison sentence, a suspended $750 fine, 3 years of probation and was ordered to pay $610.24 in court costs and fees. He never made a payment, however.
Kershaw will face an April 24 probation revocation hearing.
