SPENCER – Law enforcement arrested an Iowa man after they investigated a domestic dispute in which his wife fell down.
On the morning of April 3, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Spencer Hospital of a domestic assault with injuries. After an investigation, Deputies determined the female victim fell during an altercation with her husband and received an injury. Deputies went to 301 E 3rd St, Everly, and arrested 66-year-old James Hartmann and transported him to the Clay County Jail.
Hartmann will face a hearing on April 24.
