The Mason City Earth Day Committee, Landfill of North Iowa, and the Iowa Waste Exchange will present “Wiggles and Giggles,” a composting presentation on Tuesday, April 21st at 6pm at the Landfill of North Iowa. This workshop is designed for all ages and will provide attendees with the knowledge on how easy it is to start a composting site. On Wednesday April 22nd the Mason City Earth Day Committee and the Lime Creek Nature Center will present “Garden Art Creations” at 6pm at the Lime Creek Nature Center. This workshop is designed for all ages and will provide attendees knowledge on to create garden art from dishes and tea cups. These upcycled “plate flowers” are beautiful, fun and easy to make! Each participant will make their own plate flower to take home. All supplies will be provided – but participants may bring dishes of their own as well.
