STORM LAKE – A prostitution sting dubbed “Operation Bad Connection” ensnared 9 men in Storm Lake.
Storm Lake Police conducted a prostitution enforcement action and investigation on Friday, March 6, 2015, involving the solicitation of prostitution via social media. The action was named “Operation Bad Connection” by law enforcement.
Beginning late morning on Friday, March 6, 2015, and running until late Friday evening, police arrested nine men who allegedly made contact with an undercover police officer via social media and subsequently met with the officer at a Storm Lake motel, where they were arrested.
The following were charged with Solicitation of Prostitution (an aggravated misdemeanor):
All of the men were booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $2,000.00 bond each.
