MASON CITY – A Lake Mills woman was arrested after a report of a shoplifter from an adult store in rural Mason City.
A theft was reported from Pure Pleasure, an adult novelty, video and bookstore located between Mason City and Clear Lake at 10480 265th Street, at about 2:07 PM Monday afternoon. A Cerro Gordo deputy was called to the store, who investigated the allegation, and found that 21-year-old Kelsey Kay Langfald attempted to conceal a sexual toy in her purse and the store’s sensormatic was activated as she left the store. A sheriff’s report says she admitted to trying to steal the item, valued at $69.99. As a result, she was arrested on a charge of fifth degree theft.
Langfald was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail were she was cited, booked and released pending a court date.
