MASON CITY – A Clear Lake man accused of domestic assault was found guilty today of violating a no-contact order and sent to jail.
Chad Thomas West, age 43, has been arrested twice by Clear Lake police, first on November 9 after a domestic incident at his home and then on December 8 for allegedly violating the protective order in the case.
West faced a contempt hearing this morning and was found guilty by judge Parick Byrne. He was sentenced to 7 days in jail and immediately put behind bars.
West awaits a jury trial on January 13 on the domestic assault charge.
