LOS ANGELES – The famous singer and actress Cher blasted bacon eaters and Iowa farmers for the treatment of pigs.

Recently, Republican Chris Christie vetoed a bill in his state of New Jersey banning the use of gestation crates for holding pregnant pigs, a move praised by Iowa Republican Governor Terry Branstad.  Animal rights activists have fought to ban the use of the crates, saying they drive pigs insane and do not allow them to turn around or move.

Apparently, Cher is none to happy with the decision, and loathes the use of gestation crates, where pregnant pigs are confined so they can’t easily move and later while they are feeding their young.

On Tuesday, Cher took to social media and cut loose.

“Iowa Farmers,WHY MUST U TORTURE PREG.PIGS? U PUT THEM IN CRATES & LOCK EM DOWN SO THEY CANT MOVE! C. CHRISTIE,UR DESPICABLE BULLY 4GET POTUS, (sic)” Cher tweeted.

Cher wasn’t done.

“Can’t Bear Insane torture of animals.Kill if you must,(if you can’t live w/o bacon)but WHY TORTURE THEM BEFORE HAND ! (sic)”.

She even wished the same fate as pigs face upon the farmers.

“Would give anything 2C The Owners of this Company dragged 2 THEIR Pig Torture Chambers & LOCKED INSIDE. (sic),” Cher said.

The trouble started when Cher said she saw the “most horrendous thing” on TV, which apparently involved pigs in gestation crates.

“WTF IS WRONG W/MEAT EATERS (Yes that’s what I said),” Cher screamed through her keyboard. “DO Ppl NEED FKNG BACON SO BADLY,THEY WILL TORTURE THE PIG 4 ITS ENTIRE LIFE 2 GET IT (sic),” she exclaimed.

Bacon is one of the most popular meats in the western world, and Iowa is a top-producer of pork and bacon.
