NIACC men ranked 8th in lastest cross country poll

niacc_trojans_logoMASON CITY – The NIACC men’s cross country team is ranked No. 8 in the latest NJCAA poll.

The Trojans moved from 11th into the top 10 after placing second at the NJCAA Region XI meet last week in Emmetsburg.

NJCAA Region XI champion Iowa Central is ranked second and Iowa Western is ranked 10th. The Reivers fell from ninth to 10th after placing third at the regional meet.

The NIACC women are ranked 14th in this week’s poll after placing third at the regional meet. The Lady Trojans were 18th in the poll before the regional meet.

Iowa Central is ranked first and Iowa Western is ranked ninth in the women’s poll.
The national meet is set for Nov. 8 in Lubbock, Texas.

At last year’s national meet in Fort Dodge, the NIACC women placed 13th and the NIACC men were 15th.
