BURLINGTON – The campaign RV for Joni Ernst struck a deer Wednesday, the campaign confirmed, at it toured southeast Iowa.

“Reports are true,” the Joni Ernst campaign tweeted. “RV did hit a deer. No one injured. Campaign will continue on.”

Ernst was on board, along with Arizona Senator John McCain.  The exact location of the RV was not known at the time of the incident.

Ernst, seeking a U.S. Senate seat, was touring southeast Iowa, making campaign stops in Iowa City, Burlington, Mt. Pleasant, Henry county, Lee county and Louisa county as part of her Iowa Knows Best 99 county tour of the state leading up to the November 4 election.

I would imagine the deer would disagree with no one injured. How callous.
