MASON CITY – Two Algona residents were detained and arrested for trying to steal from Wal-Mart over the weekend.
Andrew Eisenbacher, age 24, was charged with enhanced third degree theft. Erin Margaret Gramstad, age 20, was charged with fifth degree theft.
Both posted bond and were released from jail. Eisenbacher awaits a hearing on October 29. He has several theft convictions already on his record. Gramstad pled guilty on October 20 and was ordered to pay $320.00 in fines and fees.

They come to Mason City to steal from all over. This is the type of person our retail draws. Just go to Walmart and look at the people and then judge. Although I think WalMart fits a nitch and are a little cheaper on some things I am not sure that the cost to the city is worth the price. The police spend a lot of time out there chasing these petty thieves that are a result of Obama’s failed policy’s.
