MASON CITY – A former manager of a Mason City hotel who faced three felony charges has entered into a plea deal and now awaits sentencing.

Robert Chester Walker, age 55, was charged with felony D second degree theft; felony D second degree fraudulent practices; and felony D on-going criminal conduct after embezzlement incidents were reported to police last year at the Holiday Inn Express, 3041 4th Street SW. Walker was the general manager there at the time of the incident, police said. The alleged crimes took place between September of 2013 and December of 2013.

This week, Walker agreed to plead guilty to second degree theft in exchange for the other two charges being dropped. He now awaits sentencing on November 17.

About as biggest scum as the Behm family

why not hang him LVS

I believe his wife works at First Citizens. Not implying that she’s untrustworthy at all, but I hope they’re smarter than to hire this guy. He didn’t last long at Principal downtown.

janitor might still be a tough job when you have access to money.

Heard hes working at a bank here in mason city????

@FUBAR-Now that wouldn’t surprise me much. Why not give a admitted thief a job handling money?
