MASON CITY – Police were called after a woman was spotted laying face down on a sidewalk in Mason City, with two men yelling at her.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, October 1 at about 3:30 PM, police went to the area of the 200 block of North Monroe Avenue after a concerned citizen spotted a woman laying face down on a sidewalk with two men standing over her, yelling.

By the time officers arrived, the woman was gone, but soon spotted near Monroe Avenue and State Street on the bridge located there. She was questioned by police and allowed to continue walking south where she encountered an NIT reported. She yelled “you beeter not be takin’ my peacher!” and proceeded to chase the NIT reporter, who drove away.

Within minutes, another caller to police said the same woman was walking on South Monroe Avenue and appeared intoxicated. Another officer located the un-named woman, who was questioned a second time, and allowed to proceed on her way.

That area has turned into a total Ghetto. It is nothing more than a little Chicago or Detroit. Our police are spending way to much time policing them at our expense. Once the slum lords took over it went to hell.

What a lovely day for a stroll along the north iowa chitcago corridor.
