CHARLES CITY – Police investigated a domestic assault and took a man to jail.
On the morning of September 27, officers with the Charles City police Department were called to the 500 block of Wright Avenue to respond to a domestic assault report. Officers arrived and determined that 23-year-old Michael Hamilton has assaulted a person and he was arrested for domestic abuse assault and taken to jail.
Hamilton was released the same day and awaits an October 13 court hearing.
