MASON CITY – A former Mason City man now living in Forest City who helped burglarize a storage unit is back in jail, in danger of losing his deferred judgement in that case.
Tyler Lee Donahoo, age 20, was caught by Cerro Gordo deputies on September 29. Before he was hauled off to jail on an arrest warrant that was issued on August 25, he blurted out “Jail time” via social media that day. He is being held on $5,000 bond as he awaits an October 24 court hearing.
Donahoo had been given a deferred judgement in July of 2013 after he was accused, along with other young men, of stealing a Yamaha dirt bike from Hawkeye Storage in Mason City in December of 2012. In December of 2013, he was found guilty of violating his 5-year probation in that case, a charge of third degree felony burglary. Donahoo had been caught in April of 2013 drunk driving and in possession of marijuana. While pleading guilty to operating while intoxicated, the judge through out the drug possession charge.
